<VV> Key Buzzer vs. Turbo buzzer

Absolutely, with no question whatsoever. Having parted out not only many '65's and '66's, including any number of Corsas, but also my share of '68's and '69's, salvaging the wiring, AND knowing what the key buzzer and horn relay both look like, I can absolutely, positively, and most definately say that they are two totally separate items, in two separate locations, and always were. The key (and overheat) buzzer was ALWAYS under the dash and above the dimmer switch, while the horn relay was ALWAYS in the trunk. (How you going to hear a key buzzer if it was in the trunk?) That despite what you see or think you see in any "official" wiring diagrams or shop manuals. Bottom line is, don't trust them. They are more often wrong than what they should be.

And remember the Delco/Boyne turn signal switch as pictured in the '67 supplement. Despite what's in the manual, the Delco switch was never EVER used in any '67-9 Corvair. Reference Kent Sullivan's recent article in the CC.

Hi Mark,
I've always been curious about that. The 1968-69 shop manuals show the key buzzer being part of the horn relay, but the wiring diagrams show a separate buzzer being used.
So can you confirm that the key buzzer was never part of the horn relay?
