This '60s stuff is getting ridiculous.

Not long ago I saw a factory Plymouth musclecar tachometer on Ebay
(the one that mounts on the console ahead of the shifter and is not
that easy to see), just like the one I have. It sold (used) for
$1175.00 with something like 23 people bidding on it.

I had to e-mail the seller to ask if he actually got paid that much
for it. He did. wtf!?

I told him my '66 Satellite has one like it and he said to run it on
Ebay because another guy who didn't get to bid before the auction
ended offered him even more than the winning bid; he told the fellow
sorry it was sold already. No, I didn't put my tach on Ebay... I
still think it was lunatic-fringe madness, or something.

It's just a TACHOMETER for heaven's sake... ?? Besides, it only
goes to 6000 rpm... although admittedly a bigblock Mopar performance
engine doesn't need to buzz any more than that... ;)

Still... it's like 'Vair AM-FM radios and quick-steer boxes and
tele-wheels. Not much matter as to what the caliber of the stuff
is... market demands price them out of reasonable sight for most people.
