<VV> windshield installation tips needed

I need tips on installing the windshield in my Corsa coupe. I did this a  
while ago and just was going to snap on the stainless trim when I noticed 
there  was water on the inside of the bottom edge of the glass. I pushed gently 
and  found that the glass was not sealed. I have removed the windshield and 
am going  to try again. I have seen that Clark's sells a primer to help 
with the sealing.  Is there a product I can buy at my local Lowes or Home Depot 
or FLAPS that will  do the same function?
