Fisher body used four sacrificial zinc anode clips (two per side) on LM
back window trim to slow rust in that area. They held the stainless trim
just like the steel ones but were attacked by corrosion first, slowing rust on
other parts. They were usually completely gone in a few winters. I got my
last ones from a Chevy dealer in the '70's. Does anyone know if there is
any source for these still? I'm going to replace some rusty clips on a '68
back window and would like to substitute the anode clips in the old
locations. Flushing the rear window trim spring and fall is still the best
preventive maintenance, but the anode clips helped when the cars were new and
would help today as well.
