You may consider this also as "BOD" BASHING but how can you consider Mr Weaver's writings as an example of-----"Determining what actions are needed to improve CORSA.

With his extremely negative opinion of everything now offered by Corsa, except the National Convention,

his only suggestions for improvement are to give the Convention to local clubs to conduct (loosing that income for Corsa) and use Facebook and LinkedIN, for what purpose I'm not sure.

I feel, if you choose to condemn a current situation, you must have a suggested alternative solution.

How many on this forum really think this criticism of Corsa was a constructive effort????
What is Mr Weaver's position on stopping the loss of members????

What is Mr Weaver's position on ways to improve the finances of Corsa????

Does Mr Weaver think the Board should only have one face to face meeting once a year,

OR does he think the Board Members should have their expenses paid by Corsa to have meetings as

           needed during the year,

OR does he think the Directors should pay there own expenses to attend these meetings????

Do you agree with Mr Weaver the "Communique" could be equally substituted by a web site or turned over to a  private business to produce and sell subscription publication???

Since Mr Weaver thinks we need to move on from the 60's such as TV antennas from the 60's does he also advocate  moving on from the 60's Corvairs???

Do you agree with Mr Weaver's comment refering to CORSA  -----"with declining membership---and arguably no real viable way to reverse that in any substantial way" ????

I feel, if you choose to condemn a current situation, you must have a suggested alternative solution.

If MR Weaver really believes this, why doesn't he resign from the board, making a vacancy to be taken by

another member who, believes Corsa can be saved, now has many more great features  than bad, and is worthy of being saved.

Mr Weavers statements are an indictment & condemnation of all current Board members as well as all proceeding Boards.  He is has the privilege to have his opinions but in my opinion these would have been better keep to himself and were in extremely poor taste printed in the AWARD WINNING PUBLICATION

"COMMUNIQUE" from our wonderful club of choice  CORSA.

I personally wish the article had never been placed in the Communique and can see no useful purpose it can serve unless it stimulates constructive suggestions from others members and BODs.

Unfortuantly I do not know the solutions in areas needing improvement in Corsa.  If I had what I thought were the correct answers, I would run for the Board.

I do wish to tell the current Board members who may read this -----

I thank them for their efforts and feel confident Corsa will continue for years to come for those who really love Corvairs.

You may wish to read the last paragraph in page 7 of the Dec. 09 issue.

Scott Morehead has listed the regional directors who are up for re-election.
Jackson is NOT? one of 'em.

In the same page, Directors' responsibilities are clearly outlined. Jackson is communicating
with the members. Specifically, doing his job insofar as:

"Determine what actions are needed to improve CORSA".

Now, granted that you may not like his approach or the sharp edge of his pen, but I dare
say that the plural pronoun "we" used by "you", does not reflect a collective view of
VV? members towards him -- unless...BoD bashing is sanctioned on Thursdays :)

  Regards,

>I hope the Western Director Jackson Dell Weaver is one that is being replaced in the next election. After reading his comments in the December issue of the CORSA Communique I would like to see him replaced, we don`t need officers with that attitude. So I say Jackson you are part of the problem not part of the answer, if you don`t like CORSA just LEAVE !
