<VV> parts scrappage, was: Is Phoenix Charlie still in business?

These stories really make me wonder what can be done about this....   At the 
very least could the stuff be GIVEN to a Corvair specific salvage yard or 
general parts vendor for just the cost of the cheapest possible shipping? 
Maybe even get CORSA members involved in moving stuff to where it can be 
saved?  I for one would be glad to pick up a load of Vair parts and take 
them to a vendor maybe even for just costs (if costs include food, 
equipment, etc.-- Basically I get a free road trip).

I really hate to see stuff like this getting scrapped.  Love your story
