<VV> EM top of dash clock

Replacing the workings with modern quartz is a criminal offense
:-) You lose the very cool sound of the clock running (tick tick)
and the very cool sound of the points rewinding the clock (a loud
clacking sound every minute or so). The clocks are very clever and
whenever you adjust the time they actually change their timing. If
you move the time ahead, the clock will speed up. If you move the
clock back it will slow down. So, after a few weeks of fiddling and
setting the clock each time you use it, the time zeros in on exactly
correct. All of mine do (I have 3 now) ... until they don't ... and
then I send them for a $100 rebuild which seems to last about 5 years
(basically a cleaning, oiling, and a minor electrical mod if the
first time). I leave mine plugged in and running on cars I don't
drive for months ... I don't believe it draws enough power to matter,
I certainly have no problems. E
