Smitty's right----the caulk might not even be there anymore. If it is, it's likely cracked in so many spaces as to be a sieve. 

  And I know he's likely done that job more than once, so he writes from experience. 
Just another reason to dislike EM's.   Smitty has had at least one LM though I'm sure.
