<VV> Advice, was: Rising price of non-Vairs and dumb moves

Very good advice. We all have regrets, some greater than others. And some
so grevious that, if we DID look back, we'd probably have killed ourselves
long ago.

But remember the tale of the butterfly..................

In order to buy my third Corvair (just mentioned in one of my posts) I
passed up a '66 Corsa turbo convert with 44,000 miles on it, and a new
clutch. It had only two small imperfections on it, a spot on the carpet and
a small dent in the front fender. But it was a convertible (I'm NOT a
convertible person), a manual (and I couldn't drive a manual very well at
all), and worse, it was ALL Marina Blue, in and out (weren't they ALL?) I
was sick of Marina Blue (two of my first four Corvairs were all Marina Blue
in and out), and I wanted a '67 Monza 4door with automatic and a/c and in
Mediera Maroon. THAT would have been the PERFECT Corvair, in my eyes. In
the end, I ended up with every item on that list that I wanted, except that
body style had to wait for another 18 years. Just how I got my '67 Madiera
Maroon convert w/air/auto is another story.

Thank you, Matt.
