Barry:

I am astounded at the thoughts and how you have expressed them so clearly. All the past bickering and bitching have amounted to absolutely nothing, in my opinion. I have seen no viable solution from anyone until now. I hope the members will consider your plan and will implement it.Members do have to have a reason to continue their membership.

As an example, I have been a long time member. I recently let my membership expire and have been debating on whether to renew it or not.At 75 years of age it may be time to give it up. I don't attend the conventions, the insurance means very little to me, the Communique has shrunk and the content is not as interesting as it used to be. The photos are good but not enough. I was looking at some of the old issues from 8 or 10 years ago. There's a big difference in size and content. I spend a fair amount of time on the internet looking at things relating to Corvairs. I"ve collected many books thru the years. I enjoy seeing what other owners have done with their cars. My present Corsa is the 16th I've owned and will be the last one.

Until your posting, I was ready to forget about rejoining. Now, I think I'll wait and see if the membership accepts your ideas. I know I would rejoin in a minute if it was carried out. And I feel there are many, many prospective members out there who would do the same if they could see the benefits.

Again, congratulations On your presentation and thoughts. I hope the BOD will seriously consider it and jump on it.

Bud
