<VV> Corvette "drivers"

Bob and others,

I have seen show cars that ate AWESOME! However, in my opinion, cars should
be driven. That's why I drive my 63 Spyder daily. I have read that Jay leno
drives most of his cars. I personally feel that every car should get out on
a cruise every once in a while.

Flame on.

I have a "friend" from work who restored a 67 Vette. His goal was to make
Bloomington which he did. The car lives in a garage under a tarp. Last
easter sunday, I saw him at a yearly Easter sunday car show held here in st.
Louis. I asked about his car and he told me that " my car does not come
out unless I stand to win something that will enhance it's value. I told
him if you can't drive it you might as well do stamp collecting. He told
me that he restored that car 15 years ago and that the odometer was turned
back at that time and the car shows 5 miles........going on and off the
trailer. He admitted that he has never driven the car.

My next door neighbor has three Corvettes. An early 60's fastback. Mid 80's
and a 2009. I only see them out from under the covers every other month or
so.

When I had mine a few years ago my Corvette was my daily driver and my
Corvair was the one that got the special place in the garage and was not
driven in any kind of bad weather unless on the way to or from a show. Ken
