Interesting idea. The Grand Lodge of Ohio (Masons) has just such a program,
as does the Grand Council of R&SM of Ohio (and maybe some other Ohio
Masonic bodies). It's called "endowed memberships" and it works this way.
You pay a pro-rated (according to your age) amount, and that money is
invested by the Grand Body. Then your dues are paid out of the return on
that investment. When you die, the money keeps on benefiting the
organization in perpetuity. Over the long haul, it works to everyone's
advantage.
