The program has now been finalized, at least until the next change.
ProKote of Indianapolis will be talking about the use of engine
coatings, internally and externally.
Another company that will be there is "Impact Racing Products".
This is the new company that Bill Simpson has started and continues
the great tradition of innovation in the field of personal safety
equipment for the racing community. They will answer all those
questions on the proper use and installation of harnesses, helmet
specifications, drivers suits, and any other concern you might have.
Another session will be on fuel injection and ignition systems by
Linder Technical services. There is the possibility but not yet
definite that a representative from the "Indy Lites Racing Series"
will be there to provide a perspective on racing that most of us not
been exposed to.
Then for the "piece of resistance", the Pros from Dover will be
doing their thing with answers to all your questions and needs. This
is a long list but Warren has assured me that the "Pros" will fill
the bill. So you have questions on carbs, suspensions, saftey, heads,
bring em on.
The rest of the day will be filled with looking at the wonderful
products that the vendors have brought and will be available for
purchase. Catching up on all that bench racing that has gone on all
winter. There will be reserved parking for all those that bring their
cars. It doesn't matter if your car is not a fire breathing Corvair
powered monster. Drive your car, or drag it if it's not street legal.
The feature car is owned by Bill Clark of Circle City Corvairs. It
is a very clean looking ride that has a Stage II engine build and
custom interior.
Max Roeder will have Snowball there for all to see. Max has posted
to the Corvair Center with info on his car but those on fast vairs
may not know of Max's six year long rebuild of his Corsa. Six years
translates into a snowball with port injection, twin watercooled
turboes, twin intercoolers, and instrumentation that would make a
NASA scientist scream with joy. Max is not a gearhead but enjoys the
engineering challenge, so there are still issues that are being
worked on, but then who doesn't have issues.
This is just a part of the show that happens March 7th in
Indianapolis for the "6th Annual Performance Workshop" You can get
registration info, directions at the listed website. Plan on coming
Friday the 6th of March and join us for a party at Union Jacks Pub.
