I learned to keep my '64 Greenbrier rolling and the same for my '68 Monza  
when I drove them on the beach in Delaware, Maryland and the Florida Gulf coast  
(really fine sand there).  I did get the Monza stuck on Assateaque Island  
once and had to get a Jeep to help pull me out.  I wouldn't take a street  car 
onto the sand now.
