<VV> Corsa Tach 2:1 Speedo Ratio

Given the 2:1 tach to speedo ratio, have you ever noticed that the corsa speedo maxes at 140 but tach redlines at 5500 and caps at 6K?  can't say I've hit those figures, so just wondering what happens when you do - is it like reaching terminal velocity?

There is a very practical reason for a tach on a powerglide: in the event your speedo is non-functional your speed would be the tach reading times 2 in drive
