Common in complete rebuilds, to one degree or another, when the
original main bearing at the flywheel end has been replaced.  The
factory bearing 'hole' was slightly offset.  Without this offset the 
crankshaft makes a slight 'bump' sound.  Perhaps that is the 
problem in this engine.
