<VV> Gulftane

I too remember Gulftane (at 23.9 cents a gal.) as I pumped a lot of it in my very first job while in high 
school way back there in 1961-62. I worked at the local Gulf station on week ends or days I was not in 
school. It was an education in it's self for a 17 year old boy nuts about 
cars. I especially remember the first time anyone ask me for a pack of 
rubbers! The guy was probably in his forties but to me he was an old man. I 
burst out laughing in his face. What could he want with those! The station owner had to take over and 
apologize to the guy. Still funny!
The lot the old station was on is still pumping gas but it is one of those ubiquitous "U-pump its".
