Yes, your right.  Go to the FatMat website for info.  I found that cutting 
the stuff into 6 inch squares or 6 inch by 18 inch strips made it much 
easier to apply.  Large pieces can get pretty difficult to apply without 
getting wrinkles.  On a clean surface it acts something like contact cement. 
Once you remove the backing paper and stick it down it's very difficult to 
correct a mistake.
The car is still in the garage for other work.  Once I get a chance to drive 
it I'll let you know how the FatMat worked out.
