<VV> Plug location

I am chasing down a short in my 65 Corsa vert. I unplugged the plug below the regulator (#1), and I think the short is not on the battery sice of this plug.
I have a Electrical diagram for 65's and it shows another plug (#2) and a third plug (#3). 
My question is where are plugs #2 and #3. (#3 is only for dash lights/gages)
BTW under the dash looks like a rats nest.
Any small leads you wizards can provide might be the key to my puzzle
