<VV> New Car sales? - No Corvair (duh!)

The recent California financial troubles - Lots of reasons - Have caused  the 
state to raise the retail sales tax, among other taxes. It goes up tomorrow  
by an additional percent. This has been a week-long boon to the car dealers, 
as  a bunch of people, many of whom have been standing by, instead of buying, 
for  the last few months have been motivated to buy at the "fire sale" prices, 
and  save some tax money as well. It would be interesting to know where the  
break point will be for warrantee coverage. Or if there will be one. We  have a 
GM car sales guy down in the Big Easy. I would be interested in his  public 
knowledge.  I once again resisted the desire to go out and buy a new  Z06 
Vette. Aside from the money issue, my personal-assistant-banker said I would  be 
sleeping in it for the next year if I did buy it and, since there is  only a 
partial recline of the seats, I had to say no.
