<VV> "GAGGLE OF UNSAFE CARS " / part 2

The 2009 SECC autocross went off without a hitch. We had awesome 
weather and perfect temperatures both Saturday and Sunday.
This year was Extra Special as we had ZERO waterpumpers and only one 
non-Corvair powered vehicle entered in the autocross.
There were a total of 20 drivers,11 Corvairs and a open wheeled VW 
powered formula car. We had all stages of Corvairs from a full blown 
LM race car to a stock Spyder coupe. The two club cars were driven by 
nine drivers. Nature Coast has an early model coupe and Central 
Florida races a late model coupe. As usual, "Fast Eddie" Meadows gave 
us two great courses to run. Sunday's course was real fast as we had 
to eliminate the skid pad portion because of puddles from the rain 
that came through on Saturday night. The flexibility of this facility 
and Eddie's ability to adapt to what nature presents is going to be a 
huge plus for the National autocross in July.
      Corvair Atlanta was well represented by 5 drivers that included 
myself, Scott Trunkhill, Ray Paul (President), Billy Bruce (Old Farts 
Racing Team, OFRT) and Al Hilderbrand. We all had a blast and all of 
our Corvairs performed without incidence or driver error. ;-)
