<VV> Moving a late model without powertrain

By the time you figure out the correct length of a piece of pipe plus
flanges, fabricate it and drill the 8 mounting holes, you can easily
build up a dummy powertrain.  An empty engine block with rear mount, a
stock differential with case and side gears in place to slide the yokes
into and an empty transmission case with the front mount and you have
it.  It replicates the stock powertrain without the weight.  The
differential could have a blown ring and pinion as long as it turns or
no ring and pinion for that matter.  Just the case on bearings would do.
You could then store it by leaning it up against a wall in the garage
for the next time you need it.
That being said, it would be easier to store a piece of pipe!
