<VV> Freon

Is it a Dupont product as "Freon" is a name that they chose to call dichlorodiflouromethane? I would be interested in purchasing it but how does 1 get it sent half way across the country? As I recall it was a product similar to this that brought down the Jetblue airplane over
Timothy Shortle in Durango Colorado
