<VV> Crank Question

Can anyone direct me to a website or send me direct pictures of the 
various marks one might find on the end of a Corvair crank?  Yes, I want 
a picture of a clearly stamped ampersand -- &.  But also, what is with 
that sorta "flower" design on the end of some 164 (8409) cranks?  Some 
have it and some don't it seems.
