Results. 

Does this not seem to effect the stock 61-63 & FC style air cleaners?  
They too have a sharp bend at the top of the carb.  Maybe the 
combination of the ram tube from the lm air cleaner AND the sharp bend?

Anybody ever tested raising the earlier air cleaners?  Sixties run 
pretty good for a low horsepower unit -- maybe their tubes / hoses are a 
"better" design?
