In the Corvair Basics it states on page 74 to:
4. "Disconnect the rod that connects the right carburetor to the
cross-shaft. ... Adjust the idle speed screw (on the right hand
carb ?) ... Re-connect the right carburetor rod to the cross-shaft"
5. "Disconnect the left carburetor throttle rod from the cross-
shaft ... set the idle speed screw (on the left hand carb?) ...
Reconnect the throttle rod."

In the '65 service manual it states on page 6-5 to:
4. "Disconnect the throttle rod from cross shaft lever o n R/H
carburetor"
5. "Set idle screw on L/H carburetor ...
6. "Connect throttle rod to cross shaft lever on R/H carburetor and
disconnect throttle rod from cross shaft lever on L/H carburetor"
7. "Set idle screw on R/H carburetor...

Are these backward from each other or am I missing something?

Which idle speed screw is set first? Is the carb connected to the
cross rod (with the throttle held full open at the cross rod)?
