A couple thoughts:

  - The complete rebody, if you use your original title - is somewhat  
murky legally.  We've discussed this before, so I won't re-hash, but  
I think those on both sides can at least agree the car's status in  
the US is a little in question.  You might consider that what you  
really want to do is buy an unfinished project and scrap your old car.
  - You can find a "barn car" that has little rust on the east coast,  
but the simple solution is to go west.  Their idea of "rusty" is  
truly entertaining to anyone from the rust belt.  Let them sell you a  
"rust bucket" for cheap.
