 the 914-6 only had a 110 hp engine. that made nowhere near the torque of our 110s. It was also the only 914 with carbs! Having driven a couple, they were fun, but fast? Nah.

Paul:  Jim Schardt built two of them...and somehow had both of them burn to
the ground due to engine fires.  If it were human, we would call that a
transplant rejection!

John:  No!  The 914-6 and 914-6 GT had the 911 engine and they went like
flatulence thru a crowded room: fast.  Both rare and much desired today.

75, 914 with a bad 1.8 engine. May soon get a warmed up 140 engine.
