So we know that at least during 2
separate time periods, there were one or more Corvairs around the Porsche's
complex in Stuttgart.

There was also an EM station wagon. A long time friend, Rainer Wetzling,
was a student in the Porsche mechanics school in '61 or '62 when one of the
engineering staff drove up in a Corvair station wagon with the new 911
engine installed. He said it wasn't an official mule as Porsche wouldn't use
a Chevrolet officially, but that the staff engineers used the wagon as
cover for real world testing. Rainer was a straight shooter who liked Corvairs
even before he emigrated from Germany to the US so I place a lot of trust
in his story.
