This was  Phil Haper (74) of Lafayette, IN. Phil was a long time and very 
active member  of the Circle City Corvair Club. He was on his way to the 
Annual Hoosier Auto  Show & Swap Meet in Indianapolis where the Corvair is the 
featured car  this year. Phil was diabetic and some members in the club 
speculate that he  was having a medical problem along this area. 

Phil was a wonderful  man, extremely kind and gentle. He will be greatly 
missed by all of us in the  CCC club.

Oh - I am so sorry to hear that. Phil was a great guy and a real Corvair  
lover with a sparkling personality. He attended the Nationals and always 
stopped  by for a chat. He will truly be missed, even far away from Indy!  It  
reminds us of how short a time we really have on this earth.
