Why?  What difference does it make WHERE a particulate is trapped....with a
magnet or with the filter media?  ANYTHING the magnet is going to be able to
grab won't pass through the filter-media!  It's just another one of those
"Solutions searching for a problem to solve!".

Engineers aren't stupid!  If it would do any good....it'd already be there!
