In order to properly appreciate the value of magnets on oil filter cans and 
gas lines, it helps to have absolutely no knowledge of the fact that almost 
all of the magnetic flux stays in the iron can or tube and that there's only

a negligible affect on the inside of either.  But, it's enough to make the 
user happy.

There you go again....using physics and engineering to blow-up what should
be such really neat ideas.  Hey, it's a magnet...it just HAS to do
something, right?
