I am presently working on Carl Sagan's 1964 Spyder Convertible. Carl Sagan was an astronomer, educator at Cornell, author, and adviser to the NASA  Apollo Moon program.  He popularized science in the PBS series Cosmos seen by 500 million people in 60 countries. The movie Contact starring Jodie Foster was based on one of his novels.

This is a very rusty car that has been outside since 1972.  No floor at all.  I am using a 1961 coupe for body parts but few coupe sections fit the convertible.  I have been working on it almost every day since about May and have it on a rotissorie that I built.  This is a stupid project but one I will stick with as long as I can.  I just finished replacing the rockers as they are the foundation for the car and will give me something solid to attach the floor section to.  It is coming along OK but is unbelieveably slow.
