It's probably because the original enamel E O paint started visibility
fading within five minutes of being exposed to the sun. The newer
base/clear coat paint formulations are supposed to live a little longer. As
I remember the original paint, was E O on Monday and Grey by Friday.

I'm not sure if I'm secretly glad there are so few Evening Orchid corvairs
or baffled that more people don't choose this color. I get more compliments
on the color than anything else, even Unsafe comments. Anyway, my
favorite pic of my favorite ride in my favorite corvair color is attached.
