Corvairs, Subaru, VW Beetle engines, etc., are boxers. This engine has a common 
throw crank for opposed cylinders, meaning the pistons across from each other 
move in the SAME direction, whereas a boxer moves in exactly opposite 
directions. A Ferrari flat 12 is another example of a non boxer flat engine. 

That is funny since they called one version (512BB) a Berlinetta Boxer 
themselves!
