Ken,

I'm always looking for the old original bezels in perfect condition. I use them as a master pattern for creating a new mold, if/when needed. If yours is perfect, I'd gladly appreciate receiving it.

As for the side bezels, best get them replated by a reliable plastic plater. (Note that I said RELIABLE.) They are apparently unique to the Corvair. I understand that '66-7 Chevelle bezels will fit, but have a radiused character line around the ball. The Corvair bezel has a sharp-edged character line.

The balls are common with many other GM cars, and many of the vendors to Camaro, Chevelle, Impala, etc. carry them, as does Clark's. So having them replated is a waste of money. Just be sure that the triple fins on the one side are highlighted to match your old Corvair balls.

This is all speaking strictly stock, of course.

-Mark

I just finished installing a new one on my '66 Corsa(center). Not an easy task with everything that has to be taken out to get to it. Especially with the thicker AM/FM radio. Could not get small o-rings on posts of new bezel so super glued them on and seems to work ok. Not sure if old bezel is worth anything to anyone, but could be used as template. Now need to know if the outer outlets are available and where they can be obtained or should try to get the old ones rechromed? Ken Clark
