Not that I have a need for it, but it should be easy enough to cobble  up a 
combination early/late front crossmember. The upper and lower ball  joint 
tapers are the same. If you had a rusted out early model, you could swap  the 
spindles and brakes over to the late A-arms and assemble the whole thing.  
The steering arms are the same bolt pattern. If installed in an early, you 
would  end up with an early-model that had late-style shocks and camber 
adjustments.  Not necessarily better, just different. You might have to use 
longer tie-rods as  well.
