<VV> Towing fees

The tow rates all vary but none are cheap. I have several old cars so I
subscribe to AAA and get the 100 mile from home package. I have used it
several times and each time it was a good experience. Just remember to
request a roll back carrier and tell them it is to transport a classic car.
The annual cost is $135

Subject: <VV> Towing fees

Been awhile since I've had to have a hook come get me, but Saturday, I lost
an idler pulley and flipped belt along I-95 (non-corvair). The rollback that
fetched Carol and I charged $1.50/mile TO (no load) the breakdown, and $3.00
loaded. $55 hookup fee also.
I don't remember tow companys charging fees TO the breakdown; is this
something new?
What have others paid for tows?
This tow was about 30 miles.
