Yes, you're right about "guilt by association" but it takes JUST ONE wrong 
click for the unscrupulous to gain entry to your computer and everything on 
it.

There are long essays on how to discern what's good and bad, too much to 
cover here for sure.

One thing you DO want to change is to "Check" the "View extensions for known 
file types" which is UN!!!checked as the Windows default (and has been a 
great boon to hackers everywhere because Microsoft still thinks we're too 
stupid to deal with them, and viruses routinely cloak executable file (that 
can erase your hard disk, etc) as JPGs, etc.

That's how many of them get past even the best of us if we're not careful ! 
Thank you Microsoft for that buffoonery !

Apparently validity of links is something beyond the scope of the filters in 
VV, so-o-o-o...

Do NOT click on ANYthing that you do not KNOW is valid.
