<VV> For those interested- NHTSA 1972 letter

Hi Ned,

Ken put up the heater letter because someone asked about it as it is
mentioned at the end of the NHTSA letter. Kent's scan of the heater letter
is great since it is an actual scan of the official Chevrolet letter. I wish
I could have found someone who had the official NHTSA letter instead of
having to take it out of a book. In the book the letter head and text were
not all on the correct pages that it would have been on the original. in
other word he cut and pasted the letter to fit the book format. Notice there
was not a date which there certainly would have been on the original.

It would be nice to have the 2 actual reports in scanned .pdf format for the
VV archive as well. Since you said that you have them are you able to scan
them and share with the group?

Thanks!

Kent,

That's the heater letter, also a good piece of Corvair documentation.
Carlton's letter is the one from the NHTSA on handling and stability tests.
Two
different letters from different authors on two different subjects, both
significant in Corvair history.

Carlton's letter will "survive VV" since it now resides on my HD...;^)

Ned
