<VV> Steering box lube

    "BACK  IN  THE  DAY"  we  used  80-90  gear  lube  in  all  steering  boxes [including  Corvair].  After  all, it  is  a "GEARBOX".

Hi M,

Check the archives last month - there was quite a bit of discussion.  Here are the main points as I recall:

- Actual GM steering box lube isn't available
- Grease is too thick
- Most people use some mix of thick oil with some grease type lube
