I can tell you from personal experience that it costs a LOT more than $14,326.91 to make them new AGAIN!

I saw a comment on Corvair Forum, I think it was, wondering how much  
2,000 1960 dollars would be today. The suggestion was that that was  
what a "new" 1960 Corvair cost.

$2,000 in 1960 equals $14,326.91 in 2009. (You can't figure how much  
it is in 2010 because 2010 isn't over and you don't know the cost of  
living yet.)
