I wish that Chuck could be here to read this report. It would make
him
smile.

The Fort Wayne SCCA group put on an autocross today(Saturday) for the
Ferrari and Friends club.

The site was at the Kitty Hawk Customs of the FortWayne International
Airport.

It is every bit as good as the SCCA Nationals site and has to be easily
the best in the Central Division.

In addition to the usual Fort Wayne suspects, the entry
included--beside the Ferraris--3 Lamborghinis, 2 NSXs, 1 Audi R8, ,
Several 64 Pontiac GTOs, some old MGs, a Speedster Replical, Several
Porsches, including a Cayman, Corbra Replica and one Corvair besides
mine.

My Roadster barely got Fastest Time of the Day, very slightly ahead of
a Z06 Corvette during the official 6 timed runs. Some went faster in
the "Fun" runs. I already had it trailered before I knew about fun
runs.

What a course. It had everything, the usual slaloms, chicanes and such,
plus three very big sweepers, I was able to take all but the start
corner topped out in third gear. The surface was smoother than any
place that I have been. I only took 5 of the 6 runs. They come so close
together (3 cars on course) that I couldn't contol the temp.

Now that I've bragged, I am going to Terre Haute Airport tomorrow
and probably eat some humble pie.
As Chuck would probably say" live while you can".

Warren
