Smitty Says;    As pointed out by Dan T, dont't ever switch rod caps from 
one rod to another.  Also keep in mind, if you must worry about balancing a 
street engine, that the engines were balanced at the factory.  Not as a set 
of six but rods were selected by matched pairs to go on opposing cylinders 
in the engine.  If you have the original set of rods and the numbers are 
used in the right places , you should have no problem.
Trying to balance all rods in some engines gets right down to dangerous some 
times.  I have done a couple and never will again.  And yet if you weigh 
opposing rods they are almost always the same.
