<VV> Fw: To post pictures ? Try again with tiny 16K pic

Most pix can be rendered smaller than cameras take them, and simply opening
them in MS Paint "resizing" (25%) and cropping them and then "Save as" the
same name on your computer will cut them down by 90%, and they are still
viewable.

The real problem is that even a tiny (and even a small image is NOT tiny
enough) attachment is probably delayed for a few hours to be reviewed by VV.
The entire message is delayed, not just the attachment, causing the sender
to think it got lost or something, and sending it again, and again.

Re: image size :

For most (but not all) colour imaging systems, including digital cameras
there are 24 bits in a pixel, and one-third of a pixel in a byte.

However, most cameras (and scanners) can compress the image so that the 2
megapixel image, that would normally take 6 MB (or 6000 KB), is reduced in
size to about 1 or 2 MB (in 'superfine' mode), or less if you set your
camera to a lower resolution.

Lower resolutions may cause pixilation, or fuzziness, but most compression
schemes are excellent and the loss is negligible.

Here's a link to describe it pretty well :
