I did not see a response to your question, so will step in.

Like ANY email, if you want to respond to the person who wrote to you, you 
would click on REPLY.  However, if you want everyone on the list to see it 
(the norm), you would click on REPLY ALL.  It is etiquette (not always 
followed) to go back up to the TO: line and take out everything except the 
VV address.  This step is often forgotten (sometimes intentionally).  In 
that case, the folks on the TO: line will see your message twice - once 
directly and once through VV.

I can't say what happened to delay your message by two hours (unless it had 
a picture attached), but the normal time is a minute or two.
