Mark (at Clark's Tech) says that the cable are very "forgiving" due to their 
length, unless they get re-routed somehow, but I can't find any detours in 
mine (yet) and I'm still looking, but right now, I have to "walk away" and 
regain so sanity before going back for a fresh look ...

Pythagoras has a formula, but I think it would be negligible.

I think the previous own extended the car 4" for some rear seat leg room and 
forgot to mention it !
