Smitty says:     This last weekend Paul and Tina Whelan hosted the annual HoDown at their farm.  What a great time.  There was camping and racing in the pasture, quadsports, go carts, a never ending potluck, late night bonfires, a hay ride, kids and dogs and just plain old visiting.  Had some lovely Corvairs in the exclusive Corvair parking area.  Spike did his part to make them less lovely in the (over a minute) autocross by putting a roostertail of dirt in the air at every acceleration.  Poor ole dog was in demand by everyone that thought they could run faster than the "Master".  I think it's safe to say Spike did about 50 laps of the field.  Any Corvair owner that lives within a half days drive of Dinwiddy VA that misses that event, misses a good one.  Admission is a pot for the potluck.  Can't get a better deal than that.
