<VV> 1967 Monza 110 PG HV Carb Questions

These parts have been soaking is gas for awhile and now dry from being
exposed to air. I would just replace the internals. Again you have the thing
apart now. Doing a rebuild (gaskets etc) will ensure the thing will run
right once you get it back together. It's an easy and relatively cheap fix.
The green gunk is I think a mixture of rubber and the unburned ethanol that
sticks to rubber. It's what degrades the rubber in our older cars. One more
reason to do a rebuild. The new gaskets are more ethanol resistant than the
older stuff.

What is that green gunk ?

No sense replacing parts and cleaning it up, if it just comes back, right ?

This car was starting and running fine, except the fumes.

Thanks
Charlie
