Well, you were not there to see the Cr** (mostly burned up) that came out 
from between the baffle and the cylinder.  So, I'm sticking with that as the 
primary cause (at least for now).

I'll see if I can get an honest answer about the octane.  But, wouldn't that 
affect all cylinders similarly?
